SAN FRANCISCO — Its Friday night on Halloween eve as the Golden State Warriors welcome the Los Angeles Lakers to Chase Center for an NBA Cup Group Stage game on Oct. 30.
Things are bound to get spooky as Golden State looks to get their revenge with some home cooking, following their season-opening loss to the Lakers in L.A.
If anyone is ready it’s Warriors rookie forward Yaxel Lendeborg, who displayed his Halloween spirit by arriving to Friday’s matchup wearing a Michael Myers costume from the famed horror film "Halloween.
"
Whether it’s a statement
or just for spirited fun, only Lendeborg knows. Taking their last meeting with the Lakers into consideration, Lendeborg might look to have a Myers-like revenge game and terrorize Los Angeles, specifically Luka Dončić.
In their last matchup, the rookie was tasked with guarding the Lakers MVP candidate. Individually, he held him to 1-for-5 shooting which included Dončić banking in a half court buzzer-beater going into halftime.
