Harry Potter fans will have to find a new way to tap into the holiday magic this year, after Lego omitted its most bewitching buy—aka Harry Potter Lego Advent calendars—from its 2026 holiday lineup.
ICYMI: Despite seemingly every other brand launching Harry Potter collections in anticipation of HBO's upcoming Harry Potter TV series (see: Pottery Barn Teen and Target's Honeydukes line), Lego trimmed out the HP-themed sets from its 2026 Lego Advent calendar lineup, opting instead for old favorites like the Lego Star Wars Advent calendars, Lego Marvel Advent calendars and Lego Disney Advent calendars.
Luckily, fans can still find past editions of the Harry Potter Lego sets and other magical holiday collectibles that are worth adding to their collection;

Is Lego releasing a Harry Potter Advent calendar for 2026?
Much to the surprise of fans, no. Lego has skipped a Lego Harry Potter holiday release this year, scrapping the cult-favorite buy from its 2026 Advent calendar lineup.
When does the Harry Potter HBO series come out?
The trailer reveals that the HBO series will now be released this Christmas, after all previous conversations had been about a 2027 release. Production began in 2025.
USA TODAY previously reported that the new "Potter" adaptation would allow for a "deep dive into each of the iconic books that fans have continued to enjoy for all of these years." Each season of the show is expected to adapt one of Rowling's original seven "Potter" books.
How to watch the original Harry Potter movies
The original Harry Potter movies have moved around streaming services quite a bit, which I know because I rewatch them at least once a year. Right now, you can watch all eight movies with an HBO Max subscription on Sling. But, you can also watch them with a Peacock subscription, or purchase them on Amazon or Apple TV.
