Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Siranni put the blame for his team's last-second collapse against the Jacksonville Jaguars solely on himself.
After the Jaguars returned a kickoff with 8 seconds left to set up kicker Cam Little for a 57-yard game-winning field goal as time expired, Sirianni said he alone bears responsibility for the outcome.
"I didn't make the right decision, and I lost us that game," Sirianni said after the 19-17 defeat in London. "And that's what I told the guys."
The Eagles took a one-point lead after the team's two-minute offense set up Jake Elliott for a 48-yard field goal.
Despite Jacksonville being out of timeouts, Sirianni instructed Elliott to keep the ensuing kickoff in bounds rather than booting it out of the end zone.
Catching the ball at his 8-yard with a running start, Ameer Abdullah found a seam and ran the kick back 53 yards before he was dragged down by Jarrian Jones with one-second remaining.
Little, who set the NFL record for longest field goal a year earlier, converted the ensuing field goal with no trouble, setting off a wild celebration for the Jaguars.

"What hurts there is that the guys fought so hard, and then I don't make the decision that I should make at the end of the game, and I cost us the game," Siranni said. "And I put that fully on me."
Sirianni refused to detail the factors that drove his decision, but Elliott confirmed that he did as instructed.
"That's gotta be a question for (Sirianni)," Elliott told reporters when asked about the strategy. "He's got stipulations on exactly what the amount of time is. But it didn't work this time."
The loss marked the second time in as many weeks that the Eagles collapsed down the stretch, with a lengthier unraveling looming over their 24-20 loss to the Los Angeles Rams.
