Pro football? On a Thursday night? For an eighth straight week, yes.
Week 8 will feature the seventh edition of the official "Thursday Night Football" broadcast on Amazon Prime Video.
Why isn't it the eighth edition in Week 8? The Week 1 game in Australia taking place on a Thursday – and broadcast by Netflix – meant that Al Michaels, Kirk Herbstreit and the rest of the Amazon Prime crew will only be on the call for a seventh time as Week 8 gets underway.
Every "Thursday Night Football" game so far this season has been either a good game or a notable one.
The last four "TNF" games have been decided by one score, and each result has implications for the current playoff picture. The first two "Thursday Night Football" games were not as close, but Week
2's matchup marked the first regular-season game at the Bills' new stadium, and Week 3's game marked the Packers' first home-opening loss in over a decade.
Here's what to know about this week's matchup and NFL schedule:

Is there a Thursday Night Football game tonight?
Yes, there is a "Thursday Night Football" game on Oct. 29.
The Green Bay Packers host the Carolina Panthers in the Week 8 edition of "Thursday Night Football." The two NFC teams met last November, and Carolina won that clash at Lambeau Field.
Both teams are coming off of rough losses – albeit "rough" in different ways – in Week 7. The Packers lost a three-point matchup to their division rival Lions on the road, in a game where kicker Trey Smack converted only one of three field-goal attempts. The Panthers lost a blowout to their own division rival Buccaneers at home that included a 26-point second quarter from Tampa Bay.
This week's "TNF" game is scheduled to kick off at its usual 8:15 p.m. ET and will air nationally on Amazon Prime Video. Local fans for each team will be able to watch the game on a local cable network.
