One Southern California city may see an influx of cat lovers thanks to a convention celebrating our feline friends — and a chance for you to make a friend (human or the four-legged kind).
CatCon, which says its “the biggest cat-centric, pop culture event” that’s “dedicated to all things feline” globally, will be held in Pasadena in October.
At CatCon, attendees will get to meet kitty celebrities such as Uno, the one-eared cat with 360,000 subscribers on YouTube, or the Sphynx with over 44,000 thousand followers on Instagram, lily_rose_adventures. CatCon says it’ll also have expert-led workshops, including caring for your senior cats, as well as merchandise, giveaways and hundreds of adoptable kittens.
Yes, adoptable kittens.
According to CatCon,
Pasadena Humane facilitated 210 on-site adoptions at last year’s CatCon. Adoption fees will be $50 for one kitten or $65 for a pair — a drop from the usual $150 single-kitten fee, according to CatCon. The cats will be spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, too.
While you can walk away with a cat, you can’t bring yours to CatCon, according to the convention. But you’re welcome to come in cat-themed cosplay, according to CatCon.

CatCon will be held from Oct. 10-11.

How much are tickets for CatCon 2026?
Single-day tickets are $50.53 for adults, and $85.31 for a weekend pass. Single-day tickets for children 5-12 cost $11.53, and $16.81 for a weekend pass. Ticket sales end on multiple days in October.
