Week 1's wacky scheduling – a Wednesday night "NFL Kickoff" game, then a Thursday night game in Melbourne, Australia broadcast on Netflix – gave the regular "Thursday Night Football" crew with Amazon Prime Video a week off. Week 2 brought a return to normalcy with the familiar cadence of prime-time NFL football as Michaels, Herbstreit and sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung were on the call for the first game at the Buffalo Bills' new Highmark Stadium.
The calendar turns to Week 3 now after the second weekend of the 2026 season was packed with injuries to quarterbacks and other star players around the league. With an NFL landscape full of teams and fans resetting

Is there a Thursday Night Football game tonight?
Yes, there is a "Thursday Night Football" game on Sept. 24.
Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Penix Jr. is set to make his 2026 debut in the first game of Week 3 after working his way back from the ACL tear he sustained last season. He'll face the Green Bay Packers, who are coming off a Week 2 win over the New York Jets in overtime.
This week's "TNF" game is scheduled for its usual kickoff time of 8:15 p.m. ET and will air nationally on Amazon Prime Video. Local fans for each team will be able to watch the game on a local cable network.
