An anniversary celebration of the Fugees’ landmark “The Score” album tops the marquee for the 2026 Global Citizen Festival.
Ms. Lauryn Hill and Wyclef Jean will headline the Sept. 26 event in New York City’s Central Park to mark the 30th anniversary of the album that boasted the hits “Ready or Not,” “Fu-Gee-La” and their Grammy-winning rendition of “Killing Me Softly,” popularized by Roberta Flack.
Along with Hill and Jean, the lineup includes Lenny Kravitz, John Legend, Lainey Wilson, Shaboozey and Tomorrow x Together. Global Citizen Ambassador Hugh Jackman will host the event on the Great Lawn, with appearances planned from Rachel Brosnahan, Gayle King and others to be announced.
This year's Global Citizen Festival will support efforts to expand
education, aid farmers and bring electricity to millions. Fans can earn free tickets through advocacy actions (sign up on the Global Citizen app or at globalcitizenfestival.com). After completing their actions and earning points, users can redeem them either through a free ticket lottery, or make a $25 charitable donation to instantly secure a ticket.
All donations will go to the New York's City Parks Foundation to support their youth education programming and parks initiatives across all five boroughs, as well as to organizations helping those experiencing homelessness across the city.
“I believe all of us can do something to make the world a better place, so I’m proud to be performing at the Global Citizen Festival for the first time,” Wilson said in a statement. “It’s a chance to come together and support important work around children’s education, farmers and food security, and access to electricity — and have a whole lot of fun while we’re at it. Can’t wait to see y’all in Central Park!”
Global Citizen produced the first-everFIFA World Cup Final Halftime Showin July with spotlight performances from Shakira, BTS, Justin Bieber and Madonna. More than $60 million was raised for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund through a $1 allocation from every tournament ticket sold, contributions and royalties from the artists and donations from corporations and philanthropists.
