Tyler Hubbard knows something about juggling competing priorities. Between his music career, touring, family and publishing company HAYLO, the country star has learned that staying productive doesn’t mean doing everything at once.

Hubbard recently shared some of the lessons he’s learned with aspiring business owners at the Chase for Business Make Your Move Summit,
where he spoke about life on the road, at the publishing firm and more. His biggest advice for people who feel like they’re constantly switching between responsibilities? Don’t try to tackle everything at once.
For Hubbard, that also means creating boundaries around his time. He intentionally keeps Sundays free to spend with his family.
“Having a strong support team around me and not having
to focus on everything at once [is essential],” Hubbard said.
It’s a simple principle, but one that applies well beyond the music business: Prioritize what needs your attention now, lean on the people around you and make room for life outside of work.

While his Sundays may be slow, the rest of the artist’s week is jam packed with music and business, especially after starting his music publishing company, HAYLO, in 2024. All the stress is worth it, according to Hubbard.
“One thing kind of feeds into the next. The songs feed into the records, which feeds the touring, and I end up wearing all the hats at some point,” Hubbard told USA TODAY before speaking at the summit.
The father of three said his best advice for business owners who may not be touring musicians but also play many roles is to remember that not everything needs to be done at once.

Why Tyler Hubbard started HAYLO
Hubbard’s Sundays might be reserved for family, but the rest of his week can be packed with music and business.
He launched HAYLO in 2024, giving him an opportunity to support songwriters in the same Nashville community where he built his own career.
“I just love being around songwriters. Being in Nashville, being on Music Row, the songwriting community…there was a publishing company that believed in me back in the day and allowed me to do what I love and write songs for a living and, you know took a chance on me so it’s cool to be able to do the same for up-and-coming writers,” Hubbard said.
What’s next for Tyler Hubbard and Florida Georgia Line
After coming off a hectic year of touring as a solo artist and supporting Dan + Shay, Hubbard will keep up the act next year as he continues to balance wearing many hats. He and Florida Georgia Line co-star Brian Kelley reunite and begin taking on the festival circuit.
