What is the story about?

Five total teams entered Week 5 of the 2026 NFL season without a victory. Only three remain after the Tampa Bay Buccaneers beat the Dallas Cowboys on "Thursday Night Football" and the Houston Texans defeated the Tennessee Titans 26-3 on Sunday, Oct. 11.

The Texans' typically strong defense returned to form against the Titans. Houston sacked Cam Ward four times and held Tennessee to just 187 total yards in its resounding win. C.J. Stroud also had a strong performance, completing 26 of 34 passes for 261 yards and a touchdown while powering in a rushing score as well.

Houston will hope that victory sparks a run that will bring it closer to the AFC wild-card race than the battle for the No. 1 overall pick. Meanwhile, the Titans will remain winless

and in a tight battle with the 0-5 Miami Dolphins for control of the No. 1 overall pick in the 2027 NFL Draft.
