What had already been a weird first half for Indiana football against Northwestern took a turn for the worst, with running back Turbo Richard heading to the injury tent and later the locker room after a late hit seemingly hurt the running back's right foot.
Richard, who was having a tremendous drive featuring multiple big stiff arms, was being dragged down on the sideline before he was hit high and out of bounds on his own sideline.
After being tended to in the injury tent, Richard was brought to the locker room with both arms draped over both trainers, not putting any weight on his right foot. It is unclear as of yet the extent of the injury.
Richard seemed primed for a big night, gaining 68 yards on nine carries before his injury. Lee Beebe Jr.
came in to take over for Richard after the injury.

Richard suffered his injury on a hip drop tackle, which is not illegal in college but is illegal in the NFL. he was also hit late on the sideline as he was being dragged down, but no flag was thrown, exacerbating the frustration.
The Boston College transfer was carried to the medical tent and then the locker room by trainers without putting any weight on his right foot.
