FC Barcelona's new kits are a little odd.
The defending La Liga champions have partnered with Tyler, The Creator for the latest edition of their Spotify artist kit collaboration. Instead of just slapping a logo on a jersey, the entertainer, entrepreneur and founding member of Odd Future is the first artist to have full creative control of the capsule collection.
To start, Tyler, The Creator put a gold block "GOLF" logo from his GOLF WANG brand on the front of FC Barcelona's red and blue striped home kit. Per usual for the artist collaboration, the jersey will be worn in the club's El Clásico match against Real Madrid. This year, Lamine Yamal and the men's team will wear it during the rivalry game on Oct. 25 at Camp Nou. The match will be the first
Clásico fixture broadcast on ABC.
The women's team will wear the kits a day prior in their match against Granada.

Last year, FC Barcelona clinched the La Liga championship in El Clásico while wearing Olivia Rodrigo-branded kits. Other artists that have been featured in the Spotify kit collaboration include Karol G, Ed Sheeran, Travis Scott, Rosalía, Coldplay, The Rolling Stones and Drake.
As with previous editions, there are 1,899 GOLF WANG jerseys available for purchase to commemorate the year Barcelona was established.

From there, Tyler, The Creator created a merchandise collection that reflects his playful, renegade style. For one of the pieces, a white block "GOLF" logo sits on the front of a teal blue kit with a collar and a wavy pattern of "GG" and "Barca." There's also a dark brown leopard print longsleeve T-shirt with "Barca" in the blue color, and a varsity jacket in dark brown with the same design. A bright blue track jacket has the club's crest on one side and red and yellow stripes going down the arms.
There's also T-shirts, hoodies, a water bottle, pin and sticker with a cartoon-like version of the crest and the words "GOLF" and "Barca" as well as a special edition blue leopard print soccer ball and brown scarf.
The artist, born Tyler Okonma, also directed and starred in a promotional clip for the collaboration. He plays an executive who holds a larger-than-life tryout to join the club. The jerseys and soccer ball are featured in the comedic bit.
And that's not all! Spotify will also host Copa De Golf, a night of music and culture on Oct. 24 in Barcelona. Odd Future member Taco will deejay a showcase of local artists.
Tyler, The Creator previously worked with Pharrell on a whimsical Louis Vuitton collection that had colorful monograms and motifs of dogs and waffles. He also worked with F1 champion Lewis Hamilton for a merchandise collection ahead of the 2024 Las Vegas Grand Prix. They created a GOLF WANG and +44 capsule collection where, among the usual jacket and shirt offerings, there was a branded tire pressure gauge.
