Aaron Donald has officially committed to the Los Angeles Rams for the upcoming season.
While Donald was trending toward a return to the field for weeks, his commitment only pushes the Rams further as the favorite to win the Super Bowl.
Donald has not played for the Rams since the 2023 season. He is a three-time Defensive Player of the Year and helped lead the Rams to victory in Super Bowl 56.
The quest to reach the Super Bowl begins with a game against the San Francisco 49ers to open the season.
Donald is immediately eligible to play after being activated to the roster and passing his physical, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
When he returns to the field, he will line up alongside edge rusher Myles Garrett, whom the 49ers acquired in a trade with
the Cleveland Browns.
