Patrick Clancy will give his first television interview weeks after a Massachusetts judge declared a mistrial in the triple-murder case against his ex-wife Lindsay Clancy.
The father of Cora, 5, Dawson, 3, and Callan, 8 months – who Lindsay strangled to death in January 2023 – will appear on "60 Minutes" on Sunday, Sept. 20.
It will be Patrick Clancy's first extensive remarks since taking the stand early in the trial against Lindsay in July.
Prosecutors alleged Lindsay deliberately and cruelly murdered the children at the family's Duxbury, Massachusetts, home, while her defense argued she is not guilty by lack of criminal responsibility – also known as an insanity defense – because she was suffering from postpartum psychosis.
After weeks of testimony
and seven days of deliberations, a jury of 12 failed to reach a unanimous verdict, leading Judge William Sullivan todeclare a mistrial on Sept. 4.

When will Patrick Clancy be on '60 Minutes'?

Patrick Clancy will appear on "60 Minutes" on Sunday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. ET.
He will speak with correspondent Ross Douthat "about his grief, his memories of his children, and the baseless conspiracy theories that flooded social media since his ex-wife's murder trial," according to a description on 60 Minutes' YouTube channel.
Patrick Clancy has been the subject of widespread, unsupported online theories since Lindsay's murder trial, sparking a response from his attorney.
In a Sept. 8 statement, Howard Cooper said that "law enforcement has been notified" about what he called a "defamation campaign" against Patrick.
"This spread of blatant and baseless falsehoods must stop. Those responsible should understand that there will be consequences, and every appropriate measure will be pursued to hold them accountable, including legally," the statement said.
Cooper alleged that "minor celebrities, so-called influencers and outright conspiracy theorists" have spread falsehoods, including unsupported claims that Patrick Clancy was involved in his children's deaths.
