The WNBA continues to be the most talented women's basketball league in the world.

It comes as no surprise that 70 current and former WNBA players will compete in the FIBA Women's World Cuptaking place Friday, Sept. 4, through Sunday, Sept. 13, in Berlin, Germany.

Fourteen of the 15 WNBA teams have a player in the tournament, with the Chicago Sky being the lone outlier.

Team USA has 12 current WNBA players. France has 10 former and current WNBA players, Australia nine, Spain seven and Germany six.

Five current or former WNBA coaches will serve as national team head coaches, including Sandy Brondello (Australia), Mike Thibault (Belgium), Olaf Lange (Germany), Corey Gaines (Japan) and Rena Wakama (Nigeria).

WNBA champion Kara Lawson is the United States

head coach, assisted by Natalie Nakase (Golden State), Nate Tibbetts (Phoenix) and Stephanie White (Indiana). Jose Fernandez (Dallas) will serve in a scouting capacity for the USA.
