The midterm elections are one week away, and Jon Stewart has some notes on President Donald Trump's closing message.
On the Oct. 26 episode of "The Daily Show," the comedian opened by discussing Trump's speech at a rally in Port Huron, Michigan, the day prior. Stewart sarcastically said he expects that Trump will be focusing on issues like the economy and cost of living while out on the campaign trail. But he then played clips of the president talking about Sen. Jon Husted's rear end.
At the same event, Trump also commented on rapper Nicki Minaj's "beautiful" butt.

"How … is this real?" Stewart asked, also showing a photo of Trump standing behind Minaj while she spoke. "He's transfixed! He's staring at her [butt]. He's like Yogi Bear floating towards
a pie on a windowsill."
Trump has talked about marveling at Husted's body, and specifically his backside, during multiple speeches this month while noting that the Ohio senator previously played college football. But during his Oct. 25 rally in Michigan, Trump said his remarks about Husted's physique were meant to be "in fun" and that the news media took the story out of context.
As an aside during this story, Trump added, "By the way, I looked at one hell of a beautiful [butt] before, Nicki Minaj. That's hard to miss!" Minaj, a supporter of Trump, traveled with the president on Air Force One to the rally.
On his Oct. 26 show, Stewart argued the midterm elections will "determine if Americans care, in any way, about the reckless" nature of the Trump administration. He also mocked a clip of Trump saying, amid concerns about high gas prices, that the "United States oil and gas business is making hundreds of billions of dollars."
"The closing argument for the Republicans appears to be, 'I like big butts,' and 'why can't you just be happy for big oil?'" Stewart joked.
Later in the show, Stewart suggested that Trump's butt comments were intended to distract voters because "Republicans running for Congress can't defend Trump's reckless record."
Earlier this month, Stewart signed on to continue hosting "The Daily Show" until December 2028, ensuring he will remain on the show through the next presidential election.
