Two inmates at a minimum-security New Hampshire transitional housing facility are considered "escaped" after they signed out and didn't return, authorities said.
Aris Karamousianis, 43, and James Brouillard, 63, left the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester, New Hampshire, at about 11:05 a.m. ET on Sept. 21 to look for work, the New Hampshire Department of Corrections said.
"Neither returned to the facility, and their current whereabouts are unknown. Their last known location was in the area of Delta Dental Stadium in Manchester," the department said.
They were placed on "escape" status at about 5:30 p.m., according to a statement from the department.
Inmates at the transitional housing facility are in their last two years of a minimum
incarceration term within the Department of Corrections in preparation to re-enter their communities, according to the department. They may work within the community while still housed at the facility.
Karamousianis was incarcerated for being a felon in possession of a dangerous weapon. He was last seen wearing a gray zip-up fleece jacket, white T-shirt, jeans and a gold cross necklace.
According to a 2012 report from WCVB, Karamousianis was previously on the run from police from 2009 to 2012 after he left court during his trial for firearms charges and never returned. He was taken into custody while at a family gathering, the outlet reported.
Brouillard was incarcerated for armed robbery. He was last seen wearing a gray crew-neck sweatshirt, jeans and white sneakers. He also has tattoos on his arms of a skull with a heart and rose, a Grim Reaper and a dragon.
TheFoster's Daily Democrat, part of the USA TODAY Network, reported in 2015 that Brouillard was accused of robbing two gas stations while on probation and parole from the New Hampshire Department of Corrections for armed robbery.

In recent months, at least three other residents of the state's transitional housing units were placed on "escape" status after failing to return to the facilities, according to news releases from the department.
