Bodycam footage captured the dramatic rescue of residents after a fire broke out at Mountain Villa Senior Living in Glendale on Sept. 11.
Video released by the Glendale Police Department shows officers rushing into the assisted living facility as smoke filled the building. Working alongside firefighters, nursing home staff and community members, officers helped evacuate elderly residents to safety while fire crews battled the blaze.
The Glendale Police Department praised the coordinated response, saying police and fire personnel acted without hesitation when the emergency unfolded. Officials highlighted the teamwork between first responders, facility staff, and nearby community members, who worked together to ensure everyone inside the building
was safely evacuated.
Thanks to the swift response, all residents and staff escaped the incident safely. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
