Oklahoma star defensive lineman David Stone suffered an apparent injury in practice on Monday, Sept. 21, before the Sooners face No. 2 Georgia on the road in Week 4, according to multiple reports.
The former five-star recruit will undergo further testing — including an MRI — to determine the severity of the lower-body injury, per the reports.
Stone is coming off one of the most dominant games of his college career against New Mexico, with eight total tackles — two for loss — with 0.5 sacks. The 6-3, 312-pound defensive lineman has 12 total tackles this season.
Stone, projected to go No. 17 overall in USA TODAY's preseason NFL mock draft, would be a huge loss for Oklahoma, which hasn't seen
its season go to plan so far in 2026. The No. 24-ranked Sooners are 14-point underdogs against Georgia, per BetMGM.
