Blind box squishy toys, rechargeable handwarmers and electronic balloon pumps have all been recalled for product safety concerns.
Twelve new product recalls were published by the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission on Thursday, Oct. 1, including a variety of household items and toys sold at popular retailers like Amazon, Target, The Home Depot and Dollar Tree.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission updates its list of product recalls every Thursday. Here's a closer look at some of this week's larger recalls.

What products were recalled this week?
Squishy dumpling toys
Two different brands of blind box squishy dumpling toys have been recalled because water beads inside the toys can expand larger than permitted and pose a choking hazard, if swallowed. No injuries has been reported for either recalled toy,
as of Oct. 1. Here are the recalled toys:
- ABC Trading recalled 37,000 Squishy Dumpling Toys and Crazy Squib Ball Toys sold at ABC Trading stores in Los Angeles and other stores nationwide from April through June 2026 for between 41 cents and $1.25.
- The dumpling toys come in multiple translucent colors and contain glitter and water beads. The toys have cartoon faces and are packaged in a tan plastic container that looks like a bamboo steamer. The phrase "SQUISHY DUMPLING" is printed on the front of the removable packaging. The model number for the dumpling toy is "3655", according to the recall report.
- The crazy squib balls come in multiple translucent colors and contain glitter and water beads. The phrases "CRAZY SQUIB BALL" and "Squeeze it! Throw it!" are printed on the front of the packaging label. The model number for the crazy squib balls is "3984," according to the recall report.
- LLK Trading recalled 480 Mochi Malrang Mystery Dumpling Toys sold at Easy Wholesale in San Jose, California in July 2026 for about $10.
- The dumpling toys are a translucent red and contain glitter and water beads. The toys have cartoon faces and are packaged in a tan plastic container that looks like a bamboo steamer. The phrases "SOFT and SQUISHY" and "MOCHI MALRANG" are visible on the front of the removable packaging, according to the recall report.

Stop playing with the recalled toys and contact the appropriate parent company for a full refund.

Magnetic toys sold on Amazon
GBYMIUY has recalled 10,075 of its Magnetic Stick Figure Toy Sets because they can release loose, high-powered magnets, posing an ingestion hazard. As of Oct. 1, GBYMIUY was not aware of any injuries related to the recall.
The magnetic toys were sold on Amazon from April through July 2026 for about $20, according to the recall report.

The recalled magnetic toys were sold in packs of 30 multicolored transparent and opaque human-shaped figurines. Each figure measures 2.91 inches tall and 2.3 inches wide, according to a recall report. "GBYMIUY" and "X004TVHD2Z" are printed on the product packaging.
Take the magnetic toys away from children and contact GBYMIUY for a full refund. Throw away the toys and send a photo of the discarded toys to zhangfa0462@outlook.com.
Electronic rechargeable hand warmers
Two types of electronic, rechargeable hand warmers have been recalled due to burn and fire hazards. No injuries have been reported for either hand warmers, as of Oct. 1. Here's a closer look at the recalled products:
- Gobi Heat recalled 5,500 of its Rechargeable Hand Warmers sold on the Gobi Heat website from October 2024 through August 2026 for between $20-40.
- Sold in packs of two, the hand warmers are black and grey and can be magnetically joined together. Coming with a charging cable, the hand warmers have a USB-C port and LED indicator lights on the hard plastic shell. "Gobi Head" is printed on the top of the hand warmers and the model number, "UT3053," is printed on the underside, according to the recall report.
- Kobayashi recalled 77,000 of its HotHands Rechargeable Hand Warmers sold at Bass Pro Shops, Meijer, Target, The Home Depot and other stores nationwide and online, including Amazon, from July 2025 through August 2026 for between $30-40.
- Sold in packs of two, the hand warmers are white and orange and can be magnetically joined together. Coming with a charging cable, the hand warmers have a USB-C port and LED indicator lights on the hard plastic shell. The HotHands logo is printed on the top of the product packaging and the model number, "H163650" is printed on the hand warmer's underside, according to the recall report.

Stop using the recalled hand warmers and contact the appropriate parent company for a full refund.
Consumers of Gobi Heat Rechargeable Hand Warmers should visit gobiheat.com/pages/handwarmer-recall to obtain a claim number and instructions. Consumers should write "Recalled" on the product in permanent marker, showing the hand warmer's product number, take a photo and email the photo to recall@gobiheat.com.
Consumers of Kobayashi HotHands Rechargeable Hand Warmers should visit hothands.com/recall-notice-rechargeable to obtain a claim number and instructions. Consumers should write "Recalled" on the product in permanent marker, showing the hand warmer's product number, take a photo and submit the photo to the claim website.
Both hand warmers should be disposed of in accordance with applicable local and state hazardous waste regulations. Items with lithium-ion batteries should not be thrown in the household trash, the general recycling system or used recycling boxes found at retail and home improvement stores. Contact your local household hazardous waste collection center for disposal guidance.
Electronic balloon pump sold at Dollar Tree
Dollar Tree has recalled more than 360,000 of its electronic balloon pumps because they can overheat, posing a burn risk, according to a recall report. As of Oct. 1, Dollar Tree had received three reports of the pump overheating, with one report of flames outside the unit. No injuries were reported, as of Oct. 1.
The electronic balloon pumps were sold at Dollar Tree stores nationwide and online on the Dollar Tree website and DoorDash between August 2025 and July 2026 for about $17, according to the recall report.

Made of plastic, the recalled pumps are pink with a blue handle and feature two nozzles. The pumpkin's model number is "406198," according to the recall report. The model number is printed on the silver rating label located on the bottom of the pump and on the packaging.
Stop using the recalled balloon pump and return it to any Dollar Tree store for a full refund. Customers who purchased the pump online should contact Dollar Tree to receive a pre-paid shipping label to return the product for a full refund, according to the recall report.
