Eight-year-old Paisley was rushing to her first game, but she had one more stop to make.
Deidra Black was recovering from her second spinal surgery at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital, and her daughter Paisley knew she was feeling lonely, especially after the loss of her partner.
Running late to her game, Paisley couldn’t go inside to visit. But she had another idea. Still dressed in her uniform, she stepped out of the car in the hospital parking lot, ready to put on a show for her mom.
Then Deidra got a call from Paisley’s grandpa asking if she was by the window.

“It made me pray about my recovery again and again,” Deidra said. “Praying that I’m well fast enough to get back to my daughter,
doing the things we like to do.”
