Florida didn't see major shifts in the poll, but Texas powers moved around quite a bit.Allen (TX) demolished DeSoto (TX) 50-6, a performance that boosts the Eagles over Waxahachie and has them approaching the top 10. North Crowley (Fort Worth, TX) also entered the Super 25 after a win over a Georgia opponent, giving the Lone Star State four teams in the national rankings.
In addition to Allen, Carrollton (GA) and Thompson
(Alabaster, AL) were big jumpers this week. Carrollton has scored 61 points in back-to-back games, while Thompson continued its impressive season with a 49-0 victory in which ALL-USA QB and Alabama commit Trent Seaborn broke a state record.
Basha (Chandler, AZ) and Brentwood Academy (TN) dropped out of the poll following losses, as did DeMatha (Hyattsville, MD), who eked out a 21-20 comeback win over Imhotep Charter (Philadelphia, PA).
