Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry's European family trip didn't stop at a closely watched reunion with King Charles.
In a July 23 Instagram carousel, the Duchess of Sussex shared insight into her "summer holiday" with kids Prince Archie, 7, and Princess Lilibet, 5.
The family of four, appearing to be in Portugal with a Alentejo region sign featured in a snap inside a restaurant, spent time at the beach, in the countryside and in the pool. Harry, wearing a backwards baseball cap, is seen flipping his daughter in the pool. In another photo, Meghan watches from the sand as her husband and children head toward a wave.
She also captured a view from behind of her family strolling through a garden. The young ones' faces are obscured throughout the images,
as the Sussexes maintain their children's privacy.
In one of the final photos, Archie sits in the cockpit of a plane while being instructed by pilots. Harry, who served in the British Armed Forces for a decade, was an Apache helicopter pilot for the Army Air Corps.
Meghan is also seen spending time with their rescue beagle, Mamma Mia.
The vacation photos were shared nearly two weeks after Lilibet and Archie reunited with their grandfather, King Charles, and Queen Camilla after four years. The visit was touch-and-go for weeks as negotiations about security and accommodations hinted at ongoing squabbles.
The king and queen hosted the family of four on July 10, according to BBC. Buckingham Palace confirmed to the outlet that the family came together at Highgrove house, Camilla and Charles' private country residence in Gloucestershire, England.
The reunion marked a significant moment for the royals after Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, stepped back from their senior royal roles, in part due to serious security concerns they've continued to express over the years since they moved to California in 2020.
