Alabama football looks to avoid upset for the second consecutive season when it faces Florida State at home on Saturday, Sept. 19.
The No. 10 Crimson Tide were upset by the Seminoles 31-17 in Week 1 last season, before rebounding the rest of the season to reach the SEC championship game and College Football Playoff. Florida State went on to finish 2025 with a 5-7 record.
Alabama trailed Kentucky 17-13 at halftime in Week 2, but the Crimson Tide outscored the Wildcats 32-0 in the second half en route to a big 45-17 win to open conference play. Alabama's run game had its best performance in conference play since 2024, led by Daniel Hill's 104 yards and
a score on 18 carries.
Florida State quarterback Ashton Daniels has had some past success against Alabama. The Auburn transfer racked up 367 yards of offense in the Iron Bowl last season, and nearly led a game-winning drive before star receiver Cam Coleman fumbled.
