A viral video making the rounds on social media appears to show a man disembarking from a ride at Disney World and flopping into the water.
The man got off a boat while riding the "Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros," a slow boat ride featuring Donald Duck in Epcot's Mexico pavilion at the Disney resort in Orlando, Michael Collantes, an Orlando local and chef-restaurateur who was there when the incident happened Oct. 6, told USA TODAY.
Collantes posted the video to Instagram on Oct. 7 and it has since racked up thousands of views and comments. He was in the boat behind the group of guests, and his wife recorded the video that shows the man diving off an elevated platform while a boat floats beside him. Another man in the boat stands
up and claps.
"We were just all in shock," Collantes told USA TODAY. He was at Epcot with his wife for a date night when they decided to go on the ride.

USA TODAY has contacted Disney for more information.
Here's what to know.
Two men reportedly jumped in the water
The viral video shows only one man getting off the boat, but apparently there were two.
According to Collantes, a man had already jumped in, but they didn't capture a video of him doing so. In his original post, there are two videos. The second video in his post shows two men sitting in different rows on the boat, soaking wet.
Cast members halt ride
Cast members, the term for Disney employees, were forced to stop the ride for about 15-20 minutes after the man jumped into the water, Collantes said.
It's a "quick way to get the Disney boot from @epcot_center," Collantes wrote in his post on Instagram.
According to Collantes, the men "were a bit more rambunctious" before they got on the ride.
'This is shallow water'
Some of the boat rides at the resort are shallow and hide the machines and mechanisms that make the ride run smoothly.
"I mean, this is shallow water," Collantes said. They were lucky they "didn't break their necks."
Commenters were shocked as well.
"Diving head first into that feels like an unalive mission," said one commenter.
"That water isn't safe one bit," another person commented. "[It's] scary what could hurt you or trap you."
What happened to the men who jumped into the water?
According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, no criminal case or report was filed regarding the incident, but Disney did trespass the individuals. The Orange County Sheriff's Department did not identify the men involved.
"This behavior was unsafe and a clear violation of our park rules. The guest and his party were trespassed", Walt Disney World Communications said in a statement to USA TODAY.
Teen falls on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Disneyland
This is not the first time guests at a Disney park have tried to disembark a ride this year.
In June, a 13-year-old guest at Disneyland in Anaheim, California, climbed out of the boat on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, a log flume-style ride that was formerly called Splash Mountain, as it was about to go down the ride's 50-foot drop, according to USA TODAY's previous reporting. On Reddit, people who say they witnessed the incident said they saw the boy "tumble down" the drop.
The ride was shut down for the rest of the day, and the teen was taken to the hospital as a precaution, but was later released.
