Amazon is delivering a new perk for Prime subscribers.
Amazon Prime subscribers in the U.S. can now get Uber Eats deliveries with no delivery fee on restaurant orders of $25 or more directly through Amazon.com and the Amazon Shopping app. The perk is available to all Prime members, including members of Amazon's half-price memberships Prime for Young Adults and Prime Access, Amazon announced Thursday, Nov. 5.
The Uber Eats delivery network includes hundreds of thousands of restaurants – including national chains and small restaurants – in major cities, suburban areas and rural communities. To kick off the partnership, Prime members can get $20 off the first two Uber Eats orders of $25 or more eligible Nov. 5-Nov. 18. Prime Visa cardmembers earn
5% back on all Uber Eats orders through Dec. 5, 2026.
About 201 million U.S. shoppers used Amazon Prime in the month of March, according to Consumer Intelligence Research Partners. Amazon Prime, which includes shipping discounts and Prime Video streaming, costs $14.99 per month or $139 per year; students get a 50% discount and qualifying government assistance recipients can a 53% discount.
With the arrival of the Uber Eats partnership comes the end of the two-year deal between Amazon Prime and Grubhub, which included no delivery fees on orders over $12. Uber Eats offers a wider selection and keeps ordering within the Amazon app itself, according to Amazon.
“Whether it's game night, family night, or date night, Prime’s new Uber Eats membership benefit makes getting dinner delivered even easier,” said Jamil Ghani, Amazon Prime worldwide vice president, said in a statement. “This is what Prime is all about: unlimited free, fast delivery on a wide selection of products, big savings, fantastic entertainment, and now even more value on restaurant delivery with Uber Eats, all in a single membership.”
“We're excited to connect our restaurant community with new Prime fans, while giving Prime members a seamless way to enjoy great food from restaurants through Uber Eats,” said Uber president and COO Andrew Macdonald in a statement.
