If "The View" table is looking a little sparse, it's because talking heads Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar and Alyssa Farah Griffin were all absent from the latest episode.
Cohost Sunny Hostin summed it up to scheduled time off and health issues on the Oct. 16 episode.
"Joy is out healing up from a dislocated shoulder," Hostin, 57, said at the top of the episode. "Alyssa is also under the weather. Today is Whoopi's day off. And so you have me!"

Hostin was joined by Ana Navarro and Sara Haines for the ABC morning talk show, which is inits 30 season. And Raven-Symone, who previously cohosted from 2015 to 2016, subbed in on the panel as a guest for the day.
Other than the hosting shakeups, it was business as usual on "The View," with the women discussing
Hot Topics before welcoming Busy Philipps to the show.
News about Behar's shoulder injury was first shared on the Oct. 1 episode of "The View." At the time, Hostin explained that the 84-year-old was absent from the show because she "dislocated her shoulder," but emphasized that she was "recovering and will be back soon."
Goldberg, 70, was also absent that day, with Hostin explaining that she was filming a movie. Former cohost Sherri Shepherd joined the panel as a guest cohost.

Prior to her shoulder injury, Behar spoke about experiencing dizziness during a July 6 broadcast, saying she tried acupuncture as a remedy.
"Between the Botox, the Ozempic and the acupuncture, I'm, like, full of needles, more than a drug addict," the comedian and host joked.
Behar, who first joined the Barbara Walters-created talk show as a part-time panelist, has hosted more seasons of an American talk show than any other woman. In a recent interview with Vulture, she looked back on her 30 seasons, saying of her impact, "I go in, I do a job, and I speak. I don’t feel like I’m a crusader in any way."
Behar also said she'd inviteDonald Trump to "The View" if she had it her way, despite the president's threats of pulling the show off air.
“I’d love Donald Trump to take the heat," she said. "You can’t go to Fox all the time.”
