A commercial airliner bound for the United States blew a tire landing in Chicago on Oct. 20, the Federal Aviation Administration said.
American Airlines Flight 41 landed safely at Chicago O'Hare International Airport about 2:30 p.m. CT after the crew reported a brake issue while landing and then a blown tire after landing, FAA Public Affairs Specialist Rick Breitenfeldt told USA TODAY.
The Boeing 787-800 departed from Josep Tarradellas Barcelona–El Prat Airport in Spain with 234 passengers and 11 crew members on board, American Airlines told USA TODAY.
No injuries were reported, the airline said.
"Per procedure, first responders met the aircraft out of an abundance of caution and customers were transported safely to the terminal by bus," the airline
said.

The aircraft was taken out of service to be inspected by the airline's maintenance team, an airline spokesperson said.
The FAA said the incident remained under investigation on Oct. 21.
