No quarterback in the state of Alabama was more experienced going into the 2026 season than Thompson (AL) senior and Alabama commit Trent Seaborn.

starter since eighth grade, played like a seasoned vet in the season-opening blowout win over Central (AL) last week. This week, against a Clay-Chalkville (AL) team—one that he's never beaten—Seaborn was just as good.
He threw four touchdown passes, three in the first half alone, as the Warriors rolled to a 37-13 win over the Cougars.
Seaborn started his night guiding the Warriors on an immediate scoring drive just a few plays after the Cougars took nearly six minutes off the clock on their opening drive.
Feeling the pressure, Seaborn rolled to his left and found a wide-open Mason McClure for the 47-yard touchdown.
It didn't take him long to get touchdown No. 2 as he connected with Darion Moseley on Thompson's following drive for a 56-yard touchdown. His third and final touchdown of the half came on a 15-yard pass to CJ Cowley with 1:06 remaining in the half.
By the time the clock struck zero for the first half, Seaborn had three touchdowns and was responsible for 219 of the Warriors' 2021 total yards of offense in the half.
With the lead and the game already in control, thanks largely to the defense rebounding from Clay-Chalkville's opening scoring drive, Seaborn didn't need to do anything extraordinary in the second half.
To open the fourth quarter, Seaborn connected with USF tight end commit Tanner Ehmen for his fourth touchdown pass of the night, making it back-to-back weeks with four touchdown passes against a pair of teams many considered the Warriors' biggest threats for the title of Alabama's best in 2026.
