A new Miss Teen USA is ready to rule.
Miss Georgia Kiran Reddy received the evening’s top honor on Aug. 26, during the pageant that streamed on The Queen Beauty Network. Miss Teen Arkansas was named the runner-up and awarded $7,000.
The 18-year-old native from Coffee County, Georgia, became the state's first winner in the national teen pageant and won the cash prize of $25,000. She made history earlier this year as first Indian American to win the title of Miss Teen Georgia.
Reddy plans to enroll in University of Georgia this fall on a pre-med track with ambitions to pursue a career in obstetrics and gynecology, according to local station WALB-TV.
Miss USA 2023 Noelia Voigt, who relinquished her crown in 2024 over concerns for her “physical and
mental well-being,” served as host from Miami’s Adrienne Arsht Center, alongside actor/singer Sean Michael Rae.
The new Miss Teen USA will represent America as she competes for Miss Teen Universe, to be crowned Oct. 25 in Cambodia. Miss USA will crown its winner, also on the network’s website and app, on Aug. 27, 8 p.m. ET/5 p.m. PT.
The CW Network abruptly pulls airing of Miss Teen USA, Miss USA
The CW, which aired the Miss Teen USA pageant in 2024, revealed the week prior to the competitions that it would not air Miss Teen USA or Miss USA. The 2025 pageants aired on Queen Beauty Network following the May 2024 resignations of Voigt and Miss Teen USA 2023 UmaSofia Srivastava. The beauty queens’ mothers accused organizers of abuse and bullying.
“After careful consideration and conversations with the Miss USA Organization, The CW Network has decided to forego next week’s broadcasts of the Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageants," The CW said in a statement issued to USA TODAY. "We wish the organization and all of this year’s contestants well in the competition."
The Miss USA Organization explained in a statement shared to its Instagram Stories that a "contractual issue" with production arrangements could not be resolved in time.
"Since then, our team has worked diligently to explore options that would allow us to continue with a live broadcast on The CW. Unfortunately, we were unable to reach mutually agreeable terms for this year’s event," the statement read. "While The CW will not be carrying a live broadcast of Miss USA this year, we are grateful for our relationship with the network and remain open to opportunities to work together in the future."
Miss Teen USA began airing on CBS in 1983, its home until 2002. The pageant then moved to NBC from 2003 through 2007.
