U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro's office wrote the pool damage was the result of flawed work by the contractor in the rush to complete the project before Independence Day 2026.
A National Park Service official testified the pool was damaged and repairs were required before charges were filed against U.S. Olympic canoeist David Hearn.
