"Landman"just hired the coldest operator in Hollywood for Season 3.
Taylor Sheridan's big oil drama has brought on Emmy-nominated actor Michael Kelly for the upcoming third season of the Paramount+ series. Kelly, 57, will star as William Crockett, the leader of the world's largest oil management firm. (We're just guessing William Crockett doesn't go by "Bill," definitely not "Billy.")
"He is a titan of industry and everything about him exudes efficiency and money," a Sept. 9 Paramount+ release states.

Everything about Kelly exudes chilly efficiency, especially in his career-defining role as Doug Stamper on “House of Cards.” The fiercely
loyal, cold-blooded political fixer who could solve a problem – or eliminate one – without so much as raising his voice.
Stamper even tracked down and killed Rachel Posner (Rachel Brosnahan), the woman he had become dangerously obsessed with. An act which many viewers still have not forgiven him for. Kelly was nominated for Emmys four times for that role, but never won once.
The actor has gone to the good team as CIA operative Mike November on “Jack Ryan.” Kelly joined the Sheridan universe as Byron Westfield, the CIA’s steely deputy director of operations on "Lioness." He's the guy you want to have when you're briefing the vice president on a breaking emergency.
“Lioness” is rolling through Season 3, which comes to a conclusion with the Sept. 20 finale on Paramount+. Fans can expect "Landman" to land in 2027.
