Calling all soccer-playing, outdoors-loving American Girl fans: Daisy Davenport is here.
American Girl has officially launched its 2027 Girl of the Year, the latest addition to the line, which adds a new doll with a fresh story each year.
Daisy's story centers on her time at Camp Gowonagin, a sleepaway summer camp. A few of her favorite activities include spending time outdoors, playing soccer and playing the guitar, according to a news release.
The launch comes months after American Girl first revealed Daisy's story in May with the release of the accompanying book.
The Girl of the Year collection, which has been running for more than 25 years, is intended to bring relatable stories to life and give voice to a diverse range of backgrounds, according
to American Girl and Mattel. Daisy Davenport's release coincides with American Girl's 40th anniversary this year.

Daisy hails from Madison, Wisconsin, becoming American Girl's first character from the state.
Her story is based on her experience at Camp Gowonagin, a sleepaway summer camp. When Daisy's best friend unexpectedly can't attend with her, she navigates camp on her own, facing homesickness, new friendships, a fear of the dark and challenges with her cabinmates, according to a news release.
"Along the way, Daisy learns to step outside her comfort zone and discovers that being a great teammate is aboutmore than being the star player," the news release said.
American Girl Daisy Davenport collection: See accessories
The Daisy Davenport 18-inch American Girl doll features green eyes and long auburn hair with bangs. She comes with a purple T-shirt, pleated denim skort, purple tennis shoes and socks.
The following accessories are also available for purchase:
- A camp cabin that sleeps two dolls and has bunk beds with pillows, blankets and sleeping pads. It also comes with an outdoor vanity with a sink and working mirror and a Camp Gowonagin flag.
- A soccer set with a uniform and net.
- A campfire set with pajamas, a s’mores kit and a guitar.
As part of the collection, the book "Daisy Davenport Saves the Day" by Megan Wagner Lloyd is also available for purchase.

As of Sept. 17, the Daisy Davenport 2027 Girl of the Year doll and product collection is available at AmericanGirl.com and in American Girl retail stores nationwide.
The doll retails for $135.
