It's not often Micah Richards is speechless on CBS Sports' UEFA Champions League coverage.
But the former Manchester City defender had nothing to say after host Kate Scott gave a cutting intro in the jovial coverage team's first matchday back since the Premier League found Manchester City guilty of violating financial rules between 2009-10 through 2017-18.
After listing the impressive resumes of analysts Thierry Henry and Jamie Carragher, Scott came to Richards and said, "Well, this is awkward, isn’t it?
"He already has less accolades than anybody else on set. For now, he is still a Premier League winner and an FA Cup winner until he has to mail those medals back to somebody in Stoke or Manchester United. What will he tell women then, everybody?
Big Meeks! Micah Richards!"

Richards won the 2010-11 Premier League title with City and lifted the FA Cup in 2010-11. He developed at the club and made his professional debut there in 2005, leaving for a loan to Fiorentina and moving to Aston Villa in the 2015 season before his 2019 retirement.
After a tough start to coverage, Richards received a small victory toward the end of the broadcast. During a Spanish-language interview with Atlético Madrid manager Diego Simeone, Richards prodded Scott to ask the Argentine who his favorite member of the desk was between him, Henry or Carragher.
"The one with glasses," Simeone responded, prompting Richards to leap up from his seat at the desk in celebration.
The crew, which has become beloved in the U.S. and often sees clips circulate even in countries like the United Kingdom where broadcast rights for the competition are held by other networks, will be back behind the desk for Wednesday's UEFA Champions League coverage.
