Prince Harryturned 42 on Sept. 15 and his wife Duchess Meghan took to Instagram to mark the duke's birthday with a sweet family tribute.
"He's simply the best," she wrote as she shared a video montage of the prince and their children. "Happy birthday, my love."
In one clip Harry poses on bright white ski slopes with daughter Princess Lilibet, 5, who is wearing pink goggles and gloves. In another the duke is seen riding a quad bike outside with Lilibet and older brother, Prince Archie, 7, perched on the back.
The duchess also shared a black-and-white photo of her and Harry kissing while standing in a vineyard, the children playing in the background. The pair were married eight years ago.

Lilibet, her red hair flowing behind her, a clear sign she has inherited her father's fiery locks.
Speaking on a podcast in July, the duke took the time to clarify that his hair is actually more of a "sunset auburn" shade and not, in fact, "ginger."
The couple, controversially moved back to the UK last month and while the children only started at their new school a few days ago,Harry and Meghan made the decision to switch schools over ongoing security concerns.
"This decision should in no way be interpreted as a reflection on the school or the exceptional care the children have received there," a representative for the couple told USA TODAY on Monday, Sept. 14.
The Sussexes stunned both sides of the Atlantic with their surprise return to Harry's home country. It has been a tumultuous 12 months for the royal redhead and his wife, who have spent the last six years in the US amid an ongoing family rift sparked by their decision to step back from their roles as senior royals in 2020.
Following their return, King Charles III swiftly issued a letter clarifying that despite their return, there would be absolutely no change to their royal status. Harry and Meghan were surprised by the letter, USA TODAY reported.
Before moving his family back to Britain, Harry briefly visited the UK in July amid much confusion regarding security and accommodation for the Sussex family, who lost their government-funded protection when they retreated from the royal spotlight. While on British soil, the prince also found out he had lost his privacy lawsuit against the Daily Mail publisher, Associated Newspapers.
Security for the Sussexes continues to be an unresolved topic within the royal family, though USA TODAY understands meetings are being held regarding their protection.
Harry visited the UK in July, and despite drama surrounding his trip, Meghan managed to join him on the last leg with the family of four reuniting with King Charles III and Queen Camilla for the first time in four years. The surprise meeting was largely seen as a step toward reconciliation.
Harry is working to promote next year's Invictus Games, which will take place in Birmingham, England. The duke founded the sporting event for veterans injured in the line of duty. It is unclear what involvement, if any, King Charles will have in the event.
Upon his return to the United States, Harry made a surprise appearance at Time's 100 most influential people in sports event, sharing during his speech that it was attending the 2013 Warrior Games in Colorado Springs that inspired him to create the Invictus Games competition.
In August, Harry and Meghan made headlines as they issued a scathing statement calling out Big Tech over "predatory" AI feature and taking aim at Elon Musk. The royal couple warned of the dangers such tools pose to women and children.
Harry remains fifth in line to the British throne, followed by son Archie in sixth place and daughter Lilibet in seventh.
The duke's birthday comes one month after wife Meghan celebrated turning 45.
The Duchess dived straight into the celebrations, plunging into a swimming pool while dragging a cluster of birthday balloons through the air behind her. On her Instagram Stories, Meghan later shared footage of her dancing in their family home, wearing a birthday tiara and attempting to place party hats on their dogs.
