Maria Bartiromo is out at Fox News Media after more than 12 years, abruptly ending her run as one of the company’s most prominent business and political anchors.
Fox News Media announced her departure on Thursday, Sept. 3, saying in a statement, “We thank Maria for her work over the last 12 ½ years and wish her all the best on her next chapter."
The network did not disclose what prompted her exit or if Bartiromo has future plans. USA TODAY has reached out to Bartiromo’s representative for comment.
Bartiromo’s final episode of “Mornings with Maria,” her three-hour weekday program on Fox Business Network, aired Thursday morning. Beginning Friday, Aug. 4 the program will be renamed “Mornings with FOX Business” and led by a rotating group of anchors.

Her weekly Fox Business show, “Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street,” will similarly be rebranded as “FBN’s Wall Street.” Cheryl Casone is set to host the program this week, with other anchors rotating into the position afterward.
"'Maria Bartiromo’s Wall Street' which also airs weekly on FBN (Fridays, 7-7:30 PM/ET) will shift to FBN’s 'Wall Street' effective this week hosted by Cheryl Casone and helmed by rotating anchors thereafter,” read the statement.
Fox Business also plans to introduce a new weekday programming schedule in the coming weeks, according to the network.

Additionally, Bartiromo’s exit will reshape the weekend lineup at Fox News Channel, where she hosted “Sunday Morning Futures.” Former Republican congressman and Fox News contributor Jason Chaffetz will lead the show Sunday. The network said a permanent replacement will be announced later.
Bartiromo joined Fox Business in January 2014 following a two-decade career at CNBC. She became a trailblazer in financial journalism as the first television reporter to broadcast live from the floor of the New York Stock Exchange.
Her departure comes as the White House searches for a new press secretary following Karoline Leavitt’s exit from the Trump administration.
