Everton midfielder Jack Grealish will miss Thursday's Carabao Cup match against Newcastle due to a "breach of club discipline."
The Toffees did not include the 31-year-old in their squad for the round of 16 match at Hill Dickinson Stadium, and did not specify which rule he violated.
"Jack Grealish is unavailable for selection due to a breach of club discipline," Everton announced
on its social media channels.According to The Times, the midfielder was disciplined due to an unauthorized absence from training.
Grealish has made eight appearances this season — two for Manchester City and six for Everton — and is still looking for his first goal or assist.
The midfielder joined Everton on loan from Manchester City prior to the season, his second straight
campaign with the Toffees on loan.
Last season, Grealish tallied two goals and six assists in 20 league appearances before his campaign ended early due to a foot injury.
Grealish has earned 39 caps for England, most recently appearing for the Three Lions in October 2024.
