The iPhone Duo, Apple's first foldable iPhone, is now available to preorder.
Apple announced the launch of the highly anticipated iPhone Duo on Sept. 9. The smartphone features a 7.6-inch Super Retina display that can be folded like a book, with the capability to run two displays side by side. The display is 50% larger than that of the iPhone 18 Pro Max, according to an Apple news release.
The iPhone Dual also has dual FaceTime capture, a new 48-megapixel Fusion Main camera with zero shutter lag and the return of Touch ID, according to the news release. The smartphone can be connected to an Apple Pencil for taking notes, sketching or marking up documents. Powered by iOS 27, the iPhone Duo is equipped with Apple Intelligence and the new Siri AI.
The iPhone Duo comes after several other tech giants have released foldable smartphones in recent years. Samsung and Huawei have sold foldables since 2019, Google debuted its first Pixel Fold in 2023 and Samsung introduced its newest foldable, the Galaxy Fold8, last month.
