The Mexico men's national team has announced three fall friendlies that will take place in the United States.
El Tri reached the round of 16 in the recently completed World Cup, winning its first four games of the competition before losing to England on home soil.
Led by new coach Rafa Marquez for the first time, Mexico announced three of the four open dates for the September-October international window on Thursday, July 30.
The first match will see Mexico face Colombia at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore on Saturday, Sept. 26.
Mexico will then head north to face Peru at Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey, on Tuesday, Sept. 29. The tour will close on Oct. 6 with a match against Chile at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
Mexico is still
expected to fill its fourth slot for the window, with the United States reportedly set to face El Tri on Oct. 3 in Phoenix.
The September and October international windows have been merged into one large window starting this year. The change will avoid the club season being broken up three times in the fall, with the November international window still in place.
Teams can schedule up to four matches for the new September-October window, which is set on the FIFA calendar from Sept. 21 through Oct. 6.
Mexico will play both legs of the Concacaf Nations League quarterfinals in November against an opponent that will be decided during the September-October window.
