Rob Lowe's eldest son is now a married man!
Matthew Lowe, the 33-year-old son of Rob Lowe and Sheryl Berkoff, married fiancée Emily Markus on Oct. 10, 2026, in Santa Barbara, California, a representative for Rob Lowe confirmed to USA TODAY on Oct. 11. Longtime family friend Gwyneth Paltrow officiated the ceremony.
Page Six was first to report the news. Photos obtained by the outlet show wedding guests such as Katy Perry, Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo, Zoe Saldaña and Marco Perego-Saldaña, and Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger.
The groom's family, which also includes younger brother John Owen Lowe, was seen in the front row.
On Oct. 11, Matthew Lowe shared insight into his big weekend by re-posting several attendees' photos and videos to his Instagram
Stories. In one, the groom is seen taking a dip in the ocean hours before his wedding.
Markus and Matthew Lowe announced their engagement on July 3, 2025, with social media posts showing Matthew Lowe getting down on bended knee and presenting Markus with a ring in the lush backyard of a home.
The family celebration took place less than two weeks after Matthew Lowe's 13-year-old cousin Fiona Lowe – the second daughter of Rob Lowe's brother, Emmy-winning director Chad Lowe – died by suicide on Sept. 29. Chad Lowe, his wife, Kim Painter, and their daughters Mabel and Nixie were photographed among the guests.

Berkoff, a jewelry designer, and Rob Lowe married in July 1991, and Matthew was born two years later. Another two years after that, the family welcomed John Owen Lowe.
Though John Owen joined the family business, having worked with his dad on projects like the Netflix series "Unstable," his older brother graduated from Duke University, earned a law degree and now works for an asset management and insurance holding company.
"Matthew and I have so many businesses that we're doing together. He is currently working for Eldridge, and they own the Dodgers, and they own Chelsea [Football Club]," Rob Lowe told People in 2024.
"I was on the phone with him four times today with different things," he added. "So I get the creative show business with Johnny, and the business branding, investment opportunity with Matthew. I spend almost an equal amount of time with them professionally [and] personally. We've always been close."
