The Chicago Bears (1-1) might not have Caleb Williams. They also might not have backup Tyson Bagent. When the Philadelphia Eagles (2-0) come to town for a Week 3 tilt, it's anyone's guess who'll be under center for the home team.
With Williams (hamstring) and Bagent (concussion) banged up, the Chicago offense will likely be scrambling to put together a coherent offensive strategy against one of the NFC's top Super Bowl contenders. The Eagles, meanwhile, have been rolling to start the 2026 season.
Eagles QB Jalen Hurts threw for 264 yards and two touchdowns in a 24-20 win over the Titans in Week 2, and wideout DeVonta Smith pulled in 11 receptions for 117 yards. Even in a loss last week, the Bears defense held together nicely and could cause some
trouble for Philadelphia, but it will ultimately be up to the Bears' offense to serve up enough firepower to keep up with the Eagles. Let's check in with our experts to see how Monday Night Football could shake out.

Adam Kaufman: Eagles 24, Bears 13
This prediction comes with one important assumption: Caleb Williams doesn't play. Williams is considered week-to-week with a hamstring injury and isn't expected to practice early in the week. And now Tyson Bagent is in concussion protocol, potentially paving the way for Case Keenum to get the call at QB against an Eagles defense that has held each of its first two opponents below 300 yards. Philadelphia hasn't exactly overwhelmed anyone. The running game hasn't clicked, the defense has yet to force a turnover and Jalen Hurts threw two interceptions against Tennessee. But Hurts also led another winning drive, finding Darius Cooper for the go-ahead touchdown with nine seconds remaining. Dallas Goedert's MCL sprain hurts, although the Eagles have reunited with Zach Ertz to provide some immediate help. Even with those concerns, Philadelphia has too much talent for a Keenum-led offense that managed only three points against Minnesota. If Williams unexpectedly plays, the handicap changes. Without him, I don't see Chicago producing enough offense to stay competitive.
Michael Middlehurst-Schwartz: Eagles 17, Bears 16
I was nearly pulled to pick Chicago here but couldn't go out on a limb for a team likely to be led by Tyson Bagent. At some point, the Eagles need their ground game to take off if new coordinator Sean Mannion's scheme is going to click. But while Philadelphia's offensive line remains a point of concern, the Bears hardly seem like the team capable of punishing the Eagles up front. Ben Johnson would truly need to work some magic to have Bagent do enough damage against Vic Fangio's defense to escape with a win here.
Nate Davis: Bears 24, Eagles 20
I know the Bears appear to be in quarterback purgatory, but let's not discount the longtime pro Case Keenum is – nor the fact that Ben Johnson will have a full week to devise a plan tailored to his talents. Meanwhile, the Eagles are still adjusting to a new offensive playbook which must also accommodate a new-look receiving corps – which now includes tight end following Dallas Goedert's injury – and reshuffled offensive line. Don't be surprised if this is another defensive struggle.
Richard Morin: Eagles 25, Bears 13
It's way too early to have any idea who'll be leading this Bears offense. But I won't lie. I don't like their changes against an Eagles team that appears to be firing on all cylinders. Provided Chicago gets healthy again, I still see a positive season in Bears Land, but there will be some speed bumps. A Week 3 clash against the Eagles with a battered QB room will be one of them.
