Olympic gold medalist Simone Biles revealed her emotional reaction to putting her Houston-area home on sale in a TikTok video posted on Oct. 20.
“Today is the first day the house is going to be on the market,” Biles says in the video. "This house will be on the market for the first time and I don’t know why I’m boohoo crying."
Biles showed the empty house in the video and said that she "grew up" in it.
"I was here for six years, and I feel like there were just so many good memories, so many bad memories," she says. "It’s made me a real adult, so I’m gonna miss it. I didn’t think I’d be emotional about a house."
The Houston Business Journal reported that the 3,998-square-foot house in Spring, Texas, went under contract on Sept. 26, five days after
the listing was posted. A listing for the property shows that it sold on Oct. 15 for between $1.08 million and $1.24 million.
In an update to the TikTok post, Biles wrote that she was "excited to put in air fresheners for the potential buyers & showing Jonathan (Owens) the last look" but "just cried instead" when the home went into contract.
Biles said in the comments that she was selling the property following the completion of her "dream home" she built with her husband, Indianapolis Colts safety Jonathan Owens.
People reported that construction on the new home concluded in 2025.
