Game 2 of the American League Championship Series is underway from Tampa Bay, but no matter the result of tonight's game, the series is headed for Cleveland!
The Tampa Bay Rays struck first and early in Game 1, but it didn't last. The second half of the game was all Cleveland, as the Guardians scored seven runs after the fifth inning, taking the first game of the series 7-3. Now, the Guardians send Parker Messick to the mound to face Rays' Freddy Peralta in Game 2 on Tuesday night.
The ALCS is a best-of-seven series that follows a 2-3-2 setup, which means Game 3, Game 4 and a potential Game 5 will take place in Cleveland. If the series requires a Game 6 or a Game 7, the series will return to Tampa Bay.
