The Milwaukee Brewers can finally cross their name off one of baseball's most frustrating lists.
Milwaukee finished off the Tampa Bay Rays in the 2026 World Series, capturing the first championship in franchise history and ending a wait that stretched back to the organization's beginnings as the Seattle Pilots in 1969. The Brewers moved to Milwaukee the following year and had previously reached the World Series only once, losing a seven-game series to the St. Louis Cardinals in 1982.
Before the 2026 World Series, Milwaukee was one of only five active MLB franchises that had never won a championship, a group that includes the Rays despite them now reaching the World Series three times.
Here's a look at the MLB teams still searching for their first
World Series championship.
