Joey Tribbiani’s“many clothes” outfit from “Friends” is proving its versatility again.
Matt LeBlanc’s famed layered look from one of the sitcom’s most memorable episodes is among more than 75 costumes and artifacts going on display at New York’s Paley Museum as part of “NBC100: A Century Together,” a three-floor exhibit celebrating NBC’s 100th anniversary.
Opening Sept. 18, the exhibit brings together pieces from some of NBC’s biggest shows across the decades, including Johnny Carson’s legendary desk from “The Tonight Show,” Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Elaine costume from "Seinfeld” and Dan Aykroyd and Steve Martin’s matching “Wild and Crazy Guys” outfits from “Saturday Night Live.”

Other costumes on display were worn by Steve Carell on “The Office,”
Martin Sheen on “The West Wing,” Ted Danson on “The Good Place” and Barbara Eden on “I Dream of Jeannie.” The exhibit also features artifacts from “ER,” “30 Rock,” “Friday Night Lights,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “Meet the Press” and “The Howdy Doody Show.”
“Few brands have shaped American culture and television like NBC,” Paley Center President and CEO Maureen J. Reidy said in announcing the exhibit. "For 100 years, NBC has delivered iconic shows, unforgettable personalities, and moments that became part of our shared national experience."
Fans won’t have to settle for looking through glass, either. The interactive exhibit will let visitors sit behind Carson’s “Tonight Show” desk, take a spot at the “TODAY” show desk, occupy a coach’s chair from “The Voice,” pose with a larger-than-life statue from “The Traitors” and stand atop an Olympic Games victory podium.

The museum will also look back at NBC milestones ranging from the network’s beginnings in radio to color television and the development of the modern late-night talk show.
NBC’s next century gets a showcase, too. The Paley Museum will host “NBC100 Presents: TV’s Next Generation” on Sept. 23, featuring stars from “St. Denis Medical,” “Chicago Fire,” “Sunset P.I.,” “Line of Fire” and “The Fall and Rise of Reggie Dinkins.”
“NBC100: A Century Together” opens Sept. 18 at the Paley Museum in New York and is free for Paley members.
