Everybody knows the classic basketball shoes: Air Jordans, Nike Kobes, LeBrons, etc. Today, a new shoe is added to the list as Nike introduces the Caitlin 1. Caitlin Clark's first signature sneaker was released on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m. ET in two colorways: Caitlin Blue and Warning Code (yellow).
As if the athletics company she keeps with signature Nike shoes wasn't iconic enough, let me remind you that Caitlin Clark is only completing her second year in the WNBA. She has previously released shoes under a Kobe design, like her Rookie of the Year shoes, which sold out in minutes. But, it's not the Kobe 5 Protro x Caitlin Clark sneaker anymore, it's just the Caitlin.
If this release is anything like the others, the shoes are going to sell
out incredibly fast. If that's the case, you can always find the Caitlin 1 on resale markets like StockX, although prices may be marked up. But, there's a full Caitlin 1 apparel launch that is also accompanying the shoes, including 18 pieces of performance apparel and sportswear.

Caitlin 1: Nike releases first official Caitlin Clark sneaker in two colors
The Caitlin 1 officially launched on Wednesday, Oct. 1 at 10 a.m. ET in Caitlin Blue and Warning Code (yellow). There are other colorways set to be released, but they have not been given a specific date as of publication.
“A lot of thought and time has gone into this shoe,” says Clark. “I never thought I would have my own signature shoe, and now that I do, it’s pretty special. I can’t wait to share this moment with so many people.”

How Nike's shoe releases work:
Depending on demand, Nike may use a draw-style release through the SNKRS app or Nike.com to help manage traffic and give shoppers a fair chance to purchase. If inventory remains available after launch, customers can buy directly while supplies last. Because Clark's previous shoe collaborations sold out quickly, shoppers should expect high demand for the Caitlin 1.
