Yelp released its all-time top 100 Indian restaurants — and one state has 10 of the best in the country. The restaurants range from all over the U.S., from a pizza, Indian and Asian fusion restaurant in Georgia to the No. 1-ranked Northern California restaurant tucked away near a truck stop with more than 500 5-star reviews.
The user-rated food platform ranked businesses inthe Indian category using factors like the total volume of reviews and ratings. These Indian restaurants are located all over the country. Some are in foodie capitals like New York City and New Orleans, while others are in smaller cities across the country.
California came in with 10 of the top Indian restaurants in the country. It claimed five of the top 10 spots in the country. California isn't
the only state with beloved Indian restaurants. Florida and North Carolina both claimed eight restaurants on the list.

Yelp said it's noticing people loving the mixed rice dish biryani, the baked samosa pastry, street-style chaat and "silky" curries, as well as the classics like chicken tikka masala and butter chicken.
"Our first-ever Top 100 Indian Restaurants list is all about hospitality, comfort, and creativity. Yelpers say they feel like guests in someone's home at many of these restaurants. Our #1 spot, LA Indian Cuisine, sits near a truck stop off I-5 and welcomes diners with free chai. Other spots are getting creative: Mesa in Jacksonville, Florida, makes its Kerala Shrimp and Grits with basmati rice, and Portland's Fusion Curry Pizza tops its pies with butter chicken.
