Frankie Muniz is showing off his coparenting skills with ex-wife Paige Muniz as they navigate divorce.
The "Malcolm in the Middle" star shared photos of their family of three – including 5-year-old son Mauz – in the car driving home from Mauz's soccer game.
"Post soccer shenanigans with the fam. Our little dude got a medal for excellence in sportsmanship!" Muniz captioned the pictures, shared Sept. 19.
The photos marked Muniz's first post about his family since opening up about his mental health in a Sept. 18 Instagram caption, which shared that "the last 6 weeks of my life have been a nightmare I’m praying to wake up from" and described "hitting rock bottom."
Though he did not reveal details about the reason for these feelings, he explained that
"everything felt heavy, unclear, and like it was falling apart at the same time."
He added, "The unexpected gift in the middle of it is that I’ve had nowhere to hide. I’ve had time to sit with myself, do real self-reflection, and finally see the areas of my life that need work if I want to become a better version of me."
Muniz, who races in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, left the message on a positive note: "If you’re in a low place right now too, you’re not broken. You’re being rebuilt. Let's keep going!"
The Instagram post came two months after the Munizes revealed on July 1 that they had been separated for an unspecified period of time and were divorcing after nearly seven years of marriage. They expressed a commitment to co-parenting "our boy with the same teamwork and love we’ve always had."

Since announcing their separation, Muniz has posted multiple photos with his son and shared that, despite his racing schedule keeping him on the road most days, "[I] refuse to miss these moments," such as an Arizona Diamondbacks game, with Mauz.
"Man, I hate saying goodbye to my son. You'd think I'd be used to it by now, but it just gets harder and harder," Muniz wrote in a July 23 post.
A month later, he shared an update that he is "trying to be the best father I can possibly be" for Mauz, who "is my world."
"He deserves the version of me I'm working on becoming. The best version of me," the 40-year-old actor wrote.
The whole family, based in Scottsdale, Arizona, took a trip to Los Angeles in early September for "an incredible day" at Universal Studios, Muniz shared Sept. 4.
