Following a rare day off between home playoff games, the well-rested Tampa Bay Rays will look to take a commanding 2-0 lead over the New York Yankees on Monday in their best-of-five American League division series.
The Rays got 7 ⅔ innings of no-hit pitching from Drew Rasmussen in a 1-0 victory over the Yanks in Saturday's series opener. The AL's top seed will have trade deadline acquisition Freddy Peralta (10-11, 4.42 ERA) on the mound in Game 2 against Yankees ace – and likely AL Cy Young award winner – Cam Schlittler (14-6, 1.95 ERA) in a battle of right-handers.
