Chipotle has a spooky surprise: one of its discontinued menu items is rising from the ashes.
The fast-casual chain is bringing back its classic margaritas for a limited time in October, leading up to its annual Boorito deal. Dubbed the "Summon the Spirits Tour," the alcoholic beverage will hit five cities across the country for consumers ages 21 and up.
"For years, fans have kept the discontinued drink alive online through nostalgic TikToks, throwback photos and requests for its return with users commenting 'those margs were fireee,' and 'they need to run that back,' and 'I really grew up in the wrong era,'" the company said in a press release.
Here's when and where it will return.

What happened to Chipotle margaritas?
Chipotle stopped selling the five-ingredient margaritas, made up of premium tequila, triple sec, citrus juice, agave nectar and fresh lime, in 2020 due to operational issues including shifts in liquor license policies, according to Inc.and KTLA.
"Margaritas have been part of Chipotle’s history dating back to 1993," a statement from Chipotle said. "In 2013, Chipotle reformulated the recipe to feature just five ingredients. Margaritas were gradually phased out from most restaurants."

What is Chipotle's annual Boorito deal?
Chipotle annually has a "Boorito" Halloween celebration, which gives members of the Chipotle Rewards loyalty program a holiday deal if they visit the restaurant on Friday, Oct. 31, in costume.
One perk of last year's Boorito deal gave guests in costume an entrée for $6 (entrées typically cost $11 to $15).
