National High School Athlete of Week 6: Vote for top Super 25 Playmaker

Postseason is quickly approaching for teams in numerous states, which means several of the nation's best are in strong midseason form.

That was evident in some performances from players on the nation's

best teams last week.

Below are six players who put up eye-popping numbers last week, either helping their teams stay ranked in this week's USA TODAY Sports Supers 25 national high school football rankings

, or move into the poll.

(Also, a huge congrats to Waxahachie (TX) wide receiver Jordan Thompson-Woods, who was voted as the Super 25 Playmaker of Week 5!)

Ace Amina, No. 9 Bishop Gorman (NV)

Amina has the Gaels' offense clicking, and Friday night was one incomplete pass away from having a perfect night. He went 12-of-13 for 279 yards and three touchdowns in a 45-3 win over Faith Lutheran (NV).

Jerry Meyer III, No. 13 Waxahachie (TX)

Waxahachie's senior signal-caller and South Carolina commit carved up Skyline's (TX) secondary Thursday night. He was 20-of-28 passing for 376 yards and four touchdowns in a 61-14 win.

Demarco Hernandez, No. 14 Sierra Canyon (CA)

It's hard for a quarterback to have a perfect night, but like Amina, Hernandez was one incomplete pass away from that in a 42-10 win over Pacifica (CA). He completed 22 of his 23 pass attempts for 272 yards and three touchdowns.

Roman Oliver, No. 15 Hamilton (AZ)

Oliver has established himself as the Huskies' go-to receiver this week and had the best showing of his sophomore season in a 42-14 win over Williams Field (AZ). He led the team with 11 receptions for 192 yards and three touchdowns.

Aidan McPherson, No. 18 Thomas County (GA)

A lot of hype surrounded Thomas County's matchup with Lee County (GA), but McPherson quickly put it to rest. He threw for 99 yards and a touchdown while also rushing 25 times for 271 yards and six touchdowns in a 49-26 win.

Duece Jones-Drew, No. 23 De La Salle (CA)

Just like his dad did during his playing days at De La Salle, Jones Drew carved up the Hamilton defense to keep the Spartans' unbeaten streak alive. He finished with 28 carries for 211 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-32 win.
